What this website does, and what it does not

This website consists of pages that were built in advance. It has no forms, no sign-in and no shopping basket. We set no cookies, run no analytics or audience measurement, and embed nothing from third-party servers -- no fonts and no maps. Visiting these pages loads data from our own delivery point and from nowhere else.

No account, order or evaluation of your data happens here. That belongs to the product platform, which has a privacy notice of its own.

Server log data

Fetching a page processes the technically necessary data your browser transmits: IP address, date and time, the requested address, the transfer status, the amount of data transferred, and browser and operating-system identification.

This data is required for the page to be delivered at all, and beyond that serves operational security. It is not combined with other data and is not used to identify you as a person.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the technically sound and secure operation of the website.

Hosting

The website is operated at Microsoft Corporation through the Azure Static Web Apps service. The chosen location is within the European Union. Microsoft processes the log data named above on our behalf; a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place.

Retention

Log data is kept only as long as operation and security require, and is deleted afterwards.

Your rights

You have the right of access to the data processed about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), to erasure (Art. 17), to restriction of processing (Art. 18), to data portability (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on a legitimate interest (Art. 21).

Write to the address above to exercise them.

Independently of that, you may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for instance the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
